Apex have designed an automatic switching device with the rain water tank industry in mind! The RainAid valve is the ideal way of controlling the backup water source (mains or other) on a rainwater collection tank. It will ensure your rainwater tank never runs completely dry in the event of demand exceeding rainfall (supply). You can easily set the valve so that it maintains a set (minimum/maximum) level of water in a tank. That level can be as low or as high in the tank as you need...letting you determine how much storage you want in reserve to catch the next inflow of rain. -
Sometimes natures reserve doesn’t quite have enough to meet our every day rainwater requirements. On those occasions the Hansen Rapid-Flo Rain Relief Valve provides what’s needed. If the tanks rain water level drops below minimum, the Hansen Rapid-Flo Valve opens to supplement the tanks water from an alternative source such as the mains water supply. However it will only increase the water level by either 50 or 100mm in case it rains the next day. The Rapid-Flo Rain Relief Valve has been designed to operate as a Full Flow Valve (1275 l/min at 1,200 kpa) and features the Hansen diaphragm for soft open and close thus reducing water hammer and increasing pump and water systems life expectancy. -

The Rainsaver MK4E supplies clean rainwater from a rainwater tank via an automatic pressure system pump to toilets, laundry and garden taps in a household. Mains water is also connected to the Rainsaver MK4E as an automatic back up should rainwater level be too low, or if there is a power or pump* failure. *Should there be a pump failure, mains back up is achieved by turning the Rainsaver MK4E off at the power point. The low voltage float switch supplied prevents the pump from running dry and allows the automatic switch over to mains supply should the rainwater level in the tank be too low. -
